Welcome to Earthdata Login

Welcome to NASA’s Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS)!

If you're here, it probably means that you have been registered as an EOSDIS data user in the Earthdata Login user registration system with a username and email address. NASA thanks you for registering and helping us improve EOSDIS data access and other services. If you did not yet register with Earthdata Login, you can still do so by going to https://urs.earthdata.nasa.gov.

What is Earthdata Login?

Earthdata Login provides free and immediate access to thousands of EOSDIS data products covering all Earth science disciplines and topic areas for researchers, applied science users, application developers, and the general public. For more information about Earthdata Login benefits, features, and terms of service, go to What do I need to know about Earthdata Login. To learn more about EOSDIS and its mission to meet the needs of diverse users, please visit our Earthdata Website.

Getting Started

Here are some things that you can do right away to use your Earthdata Login registration.

  1. Starting searching for and downloading Earth science data

Earthdata Search allows you to search, discover, visualize, refine, and download NASA Earth observation data from across EOSDIS and the 12 Distributed Active Archive Centers (DAACs). If you are new to Earthdata Search, a brief tour is provided when you first visit the site that will give you an overview of the many features available.

In addition, each of the 12 DAACs provide Websites, search tools, and data services tailored to their discipline-oriented user communities.

  2. Starting viewing full-resolution Earth data imagery

Worldview allows you to interactively browse global satellite imagery from the EOSDIS DAACs within hours of it being acquired. Find interesting imagery, save and share what you find, and download the underlying data.

  3. Learn more about what data products are available at the DAACs.

Each of the 12 DAACs have unique expertise serving science discipline-oriented user communities. Click on the image below to explore each of these DAACs, their data holdings, and data-related tools and services.
